Chapter Six: "The Misaki Stairs (Part Three)" ★★★☆☆This chapter is。。。 interesting。 This chapter mainly focuses on the trio's encounter with the Second School Mystery。 Even now, her design sticks out to me as being one of the best (in my personal opinion)。 She just exudes this aura of mystique。 Something that is hampered somewhat by the sudden moments of pure silliness。 Now, I don't hate the silliness in these chapters。 They actually manage to get a small laugh out of me a lot of the times。 But i Chapter Six: "The Misaki Stairs (Part Three)" ★★★☆☆This chapter is。。。 interesting。 This chapter mainly focuses on the trio's encounter with the Second School Mystery。 Even now, her design sticks out to me as being one of the best (in my personal opinion)。 She just exudes this aura of mystique。 Something that is hampered somewhat by the sudden moments of pure silliness。 Now, I don't hate the silliness in these chapters。 They actually manage to get a small laugh out of me a lot of the times。 But it's that tonal inconsistency that really keeps me from giving these chapters a higher rating。 I do prefer when this series is more mysterious and somber and melancholic, something that the series achieves in spades the further it continues on。。。 but noticeably (mostly) vacant from these first few volumes。Chapter Seven: "The Misaki Stairs (Part Four)" ★★★★☆So in this chapter, we explore the origins of the Second School Mystery。 And her story is honestly just heartbreaking。 Really, the only complaint I have for this chapter is that it felt a bit rushed。 This is the first time that the series seems to take itself seriously, and the only reason that this chapter isn't five-stars is because of the pacing。 Otherwise, it's a wonderful step in the right direction down a path that the series continues to walk down upon。Chapter Eight: "The Confession Tree" ★★★☆☆In this chapter, Nene really begins to question her relationship (back off shippers, I said get back!) with Hanako。 It's a nice, calmer chapter that utilizes what most people might consider filler to spend some time developing the main protagonist。 Something that I greatly appreciate。Chapter Nine: "The Young Exorcist (Part One)" ★★★★☆We follow Kou around during this chapter, for some much needed character development。 That is one thing that this series really excels at。 Characters and how they develop over time。 For me, it is just such an absolute joy to read。 The only reason I'm not rating some of these chapters five-stars is because I'm saving that rating for chapters later down the line that are just in an entire caliber all of their own。Chapter Ten: "The Young Exorcist (Part Two)" ★★★★☆Teru。 Is。 Scary。 'Nuff said。 The speech that he gives to Hanako in this chapter is just。。。 *chef's kiss* This manga honestly has some of the best writing I've ever seen, manga or not。 I feel like the writing for this series didn't get to shine too much during the first volume (there wasn't much to explore in that volume, it was more concerned with introducing everything first) but now that we're starting to see development in each of the characters, the writing truly stands out as something incredible。Overall, Volume 2 is a massive improvement over the first volume。 While the series hasn't quite hit the high-marks that it later does, what it does in this volume is amazing in its own right。 Something I didn't mention, is that you can really tell just how much the mangaka's art improves over the course of this volume (not that it was bad before, though)。 But I felt like each chapter kept increasing in quality as this volume went on。 。。。more

Definitely more beautiful than the first volume。 I hope that the protagonists will come across another "world" full of oddities like the one presented at the beginning of this volume。The main characters make me laugh out loud, especially Hanako。 Definitely more beautiful than the first volume。 I hope that the protagonists will come across another "world" full of oddities like the one presented at the beginning of this volume。The main characters make me laugh out loud, especially Hanako。 。。。more

Better than anime?I've watched the first episode of the anime and I am very happy to see them keep the same style in it。 It's super beautiful, but, I feel like the frames in the manga have had a stronger effect than the anime。 It may be a language barrier though。 Better than anime?I've watched the first episode of the anime and I am very happy to see them keep the same style in it。 It's super beautiful, but, I feel like the frames in the manga have had a stronger effect than the anime。 It may be a language barrier though。 。。。more

So pretty!!! The stories this time seemed to tie together more, which I liked。 Also, I like the translation of everything。 The author kept the honorifics, which I think was good, considering the fact that it has -kun in the name。 I think they also kept it as nii-chan, instead of big brother, which I liked。

More like a 3。5 but I rounded up。 This volume was better than the previous。 I’m not sure if volume 3 is available at the library so I may have to check the book store for the next one。

I still got a lot of manga to read and explore but what I've read so far this is hands down the best art style I've seen。 It is so unique and beautiful, the covers/color palette for this series is beautiful。 The art style is just BEAUTIFUL。 SPECTACULAR。 STUNNING。 AMAZING。 Oh wait did I mention that the art style is so beautiful and eye-catching? I don't think I've said it enough。 My favorite thing about this series is the humor。 The character and the interactions between them are so funny。 Nene I still got a lot of manga to read and explore but what I've read so far this is hands down the best art style I've seen。 It is so unique and beautiful, the covers/color palette for this series is beautiful。 The art style is just BEAUTIFUL。 SPECTACULAR。 STUNNING。 AMAZING。 Oh wait did I mention that the art style is so beautiful and eye-catching? I don't think I've said it enough。 My favorite thing about this series is the humor。 The character and the interactions between them are so funny。 Nene is cute, funny, and a dummy。 I think she is annoyingly cute, does that even make any sense? She is cute but her fantasies of her love interests are funny but also anoying。 Like at times it got me rolling my eyes。 Minamoto's past is kind of sad。 I love him, he is so nice and I feel bad for the way he feels and sees himself。 Minamoto's brother was introduced, I hate him so far and maybe he can like die :) Hanako ofc my fav, when I look at him I just can't believe that he is capable of doing anything bad。 I know he might've done something bad in the past but maybe he had a good reason ???? Or maybe i'm trying to justify what he did。 I think i'm fine because we don't even know much about it? Right? Hanako almost got his ass kicked in this volume and I was scared for a second。 I don't want to spoil anything, if you've read this you'll know what I'm talking about (otherwise why would you be reading this review)Towards the end of the volume did hanako fucking faked those tears?or was he trying to hide it? Either way it made me sad😔 The confession tree might become one my favorite chapters, my dumb ass thought that hanako was actually going to confess。 Anways confess what?Even there is something going on, I think its too early and kind of weird l, he a mf ghost lmao。 All I can say is that I was fooled like poor Nene。 What hanako did after was heartbreaking thats why it's probs my favorite, like he took the hat off 🤧 。。。more
